'Rusnė Tušlaitė, who has dreamed of a career as an opera soloist since her childhood, is happy to be able to do what gives her the greatest pleasure. "My great love and the area that gives me the greatest joy is opera. I never thought I could do anything else, so the opportunity to work in world-renowned opera houses fascinates and inspires me. I am very curious and I am happy to be able to learn something new every time and try out various roles, but the very first role after graduation remained the closest to my heart - the part of the countess in the opera "The Marriage of Figaro", R. Tušlaitė shared her impressions.

"I feel a great responsibility and happy excitement that I will have to sing in my own city, dear to my heart. I had to sing in Lithuanian a long time ago, so I can appreciate anew how beautiful and songful our native language is, and to perform works on such a solemn day and with such professional fellow soloists is a great honor and appreciation for me. For the first time, I have to perform pieces with the Panevėžys Musical Theater orchestra and conductor Martyn Braž, who, in my opinion, is like a breath of fresh air in the world of classical music. I can't help but praise the wonderful atmosphere of the orchestra and the friendly team - I feel like I'm singing with friends. I want to celebrate not only the improving Panevėžys musical theater with its extremely high bar of professionalism, but also the changing Panevėžys: new spaces, renewed attractions, a wonderful natural oasis. Every time I come back here, I enjoy my hometown and find refreshment for my soul and heart, and I am always proud to be a native of Panevezys. This time, it is especially nice to return home and have the opportunity to sing for my compatriots on such an important day for the country and to sing the national anthem in unison with all Lithuanians", said the soloist about her impressions while preparing for the festive concert."'

Damir Durmanovic was the living proof of that today giving a recital of such musicianship and artistry that I was reminded of the unique sounds that Moiseiwitch would coax out of the piano with his ravishing sense of balance and aristocratically natural musicianship.
 

Sounds from the piano that Matthay had shared with Myra Hess and Moura Lympany where every note has an infinite variety of beautiful sounds that can as if by magic turn a box of hammers and strings into a wondrous world of fantasy and sumptuous delight. 

 

Damir has much in common with them too with his natural musicianship that has been nurtured from his youthful studies with Marcel Baudet and Robert Levin at that remarkable school that Menuhin has bequeathed to his adopted country.

"The Embassy of Brazil in London, in partnership with the Keyboard Trust, is pleased to invite you for a piano concert featuring Can Arisoy &  Damir Durmanovic. This concert will have pieces by Heitor Villa-Lobos, arguably the most influential Brazilian composer, very well known for his immense production and for his ability to weave together Brazilian folklore music and classical music in the European tradition; Alberto Nepomuceno, a teacher of Villa-Lobos and one of the first composers to introduce specific Brazilian elements to classical music; and Darius Milhaud, a French composer who was heavily influenced by Brazilian music and culture."

Wonderful review of shared recital at the Brazilian Embassy in London in partnership with the Keyboard Trust, to celebrate Brazil's 200th birthday to celebrate Brazil's 200th birthday in the presence of Minister Counsellor of Brazil Roberto Doring Pinho da Silva (28th March 2022) -

"Damir Durmanovic and Can Arisoy filled this hallowed hall with sumptuous music of Alberto Nepomuceno ,Villa Lobos and a Brazil inspired Milhaud."-

"A wonderful evening in celebration of Brazil 200 and the Keyboard Trust 30. It is the second concert in this series generously promoted by the Brazilian Embassy. A series in which the music of Brazil is part of the project ‘Brasil em Concerto’ developed by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to promote music by Brazilian composers dating back to the 18th century. A marriage made on wings of song in the historic Cunard Hall now restored to its antique splendor and rechristened Sala Brazil. Damir Durmanovic and Can Arisoy filled this hallowed hall with sumptuous music of Alberto Nepomuceno ,Villa Lobos and a Brazil inspired Milhaud."
